The Future of Real Estate: Why I’m Excited About PLACE

Real estate has changed a lot over the course of my career.

When I started in the business, so much of what we do today simply didn’t exist. Technology has changed how we market homes, communicate with clients, manage transactions, and run our businesses.

But I think we’re still in the early stages of what technology can actually do for real estate.

That’s a big part of why I’m excited about PLACE.

PLACE Is More Than Technology

One of the things I appreciate most about PLACE is that it isn’t simply another technology platform that gives agents a few more tools to use.

For me, it’s the combination of technology and actual support that makes the difference.

PLACE provides resources designed to help agents build and run their businesses, including training, coaching, operational systems, HR support, and financial resources.

As an agent and team leader, I know firsthand how many different responsibilities come with running a real estate business. Having systems and support behind those responsibilities allows me to spend more of my time focused on what matters most: my clients.

That’s something I value.

Looking Beyond the Transaction

The part of the PLACE vision that really gets me excited is what could happen beyond the traditional real estate transaction.

Buying a home involves so much more than finding a property and getting to the closing table.

There’s financing. There’s title and escrow. There’s insurance. There are repairs, utilities, maintenance, and countless other things that come up during homeownership.

Right now, homeowners often have to find and coordinate all of these services themselves.

PLACE is working toward creating a more connected homeownership experience where more of those needs can be brought together.

The idea is to support the homeowner throughout the entire journey, from that first conversation about buying a home through the purchase and closing, and then continue providing resources after they get the keys.

That’s a very different way of thinking about real estate.

What Could This Look Like for Homeowners?

Imagine closing on your home and still having a resource you can turn to when you need help finding a service provider.

Need insurance? Looking for someone to help with a home repair? Need to get utilities connected?

The vision is that these types of needs could become easier to navigate through a more connected platform.

PLACE is also working toward a mobile app that would allow homeowners to connect with relevant service providers directly.

It’s still a vision that is being built, but I think the potential is exciting.

Why This Matters to Me as an Agent

For me, this isn't about replacing the personal side of real estate.

It’s actually the opposite.

I’ve always believed that relationships, communication, strategy, and taking care of people are at the heart of this business. Technology should make those things easier, not take them away.

The better the systems around me are, the more time and energy I can put into the people I’m actually serving.

That’s what I see in PLACE.

It gives agents access to technology and systems while also building an infrastructure that can support the business behind the agent.

And as the platform continues to grow, I’m excited about what that could mean not only for agents, but for the clients we serve.

What’s Next for PLACE?

There’s still a lot being built.

PLACE is actively working on partnerships and agreements designed to expand the services available throughout the homeownership journey. The goal is to create a more seamless experience where homeowners can access the resources they need without having to navigate every piece of the process on their own.

I don’t think anyone can know exactly what the future of real estate will look like.

But after more than 20 years in this business, I’ve learned that the agents and companies willing to adapt, learn, and build better systems are the ones who will be prepared for what comes next.

That’s why I’m excited to be part of PLACE.

Not because I think technology is the answer to everything, but because I believe the right technology, combined with real people and real support, can create a better experience for everyone involved.
