Giving Group Realty Announces 2026 Commission-Based Giving Partnership with Northwest Battle Buddies

At Giving Group Realty, we believe every real estate milestone deserves to be celebrated. When our clients buy a home or sell a property, we celebrate right alongside them by making a donation after closing, funded entirely from our commission.

This year, we are proud to focus our commission-based giving on Northwest Battle Buddies, an incredible local nonprofit that provides specially trained PTSD service dogs to Veterans at no cost to them. Through this partnership, we are participating in the Pledge-a-Pup program, allowing us to support a service dog from puppyhood through training and eventual placement with a Veteran.

Throughout the year, we will be sharing the journey of our sponsored puppy as we watch them grow, learn, and prepare to meet their future Veteran. Our mission is to make a lasting, positive impact on the life of a Veteran, and this partnership allows us to do just that in a very meaningful way.

Our goal is to donate $25,000 through this initiative. This amount fully supports the future service dog’s care throughout their training, including food, veterinary visits, immunizations, training support, pet supplies, and more.

About Northwest Battle Buddies

Northwest Battle Buddies is a local nonprofit dedicated to providing professionally trained service dogs to Veterans living with PTSD. While there is no cure for PTSD, a highly trained service dog can significantly reduce symptoms and create life changing improvements in daily life. With a Battle Buddy by their side, Veterans are better able to regain independence, confidence, and a sense of freedom.

Each service dog completes more than five months of intensive professional training before being thoughtfully matched with a Veteran. That match is followed by an additional five weeks of hands on training and bonding, ensuring a strong, trusting partnership that supports both the Veteran and the dog.

The name Battle Buddy comes from a long standing U.S. Army tradition, where soldiers are paired with a trusted partner to support one another in and out of combat. Northwest Battle Buddies carries that same philosophy forward. These dogs are trained to do far more than offer companionship. They can help interrupt negative thought patterns, provide grounding during moments of anxiety, increase awareness of emotional shifts, and play a meaningful role in suicide prevention. The relationship is built on mutual support, care, and trust.

Post traumatic stress disorder is an anxiety disorder that can develop after a person experiences or witnesses a traumatic event. Veterans with PTSD may struggle with fear, anger, confusion, or emotional distress that interferes with everyday life. Service dogs help bridge that gap by offering consistent, calming support that empowers Veterans to re engage with daily activities and relationships.
